Vibration Dampers

Undesirable vibrations can interfere with the smooth running of machinery and equipment, shortening their service life. Vibration dampers from Stabilus convert the kinetic energy of moving components into thermal energy, reducing hard stops and large oscillation amplitudes.

 

Properties/Characteristics of STAB-O-SHOC Vibration Dampers

Oil hydraulic vibration dampers from the STAB-O-SHOC line usually feature symmetrical force distribution in the tension and compression directions. Typical models ensure evenly defined damping even when the movement is reversed.

Upon load reversal, the damping force will start instantaneously; i.e., the vibration dampers will connect directly for positive force transmission. Thanks to special integrated piston systems, the forces in the tension and compression directions can be set individually and independently of each other.

Different construction elements change their regulating effect on vibrations. Depending on the type, they can be installed in any orientation.

STAB-O-SHOC HD24/29 BV

Its ability to safely withstand high loads makes this Stabilus damper a sought-after partner for applications in vehicle manufacturing.

Function

In vertical installation with the piston rod pointing down, the bottom valve in the STAB-O-SHOC HD 24/29 BV allows slip-free, direct force transmission. The characteristic curve can be individually adapted.

STAB-O-SHOC HD24/29 MB
In automotive applications in particular, vertical orientation of the damper is not always possible.

A diaphragm integrated inside the pressure tube makes the standard HD24/29 a true multi-talent.

Function

The STAB-O-SHOC HD24/29 MB combines the advantages of the bottom valve with the non-specific mounting orientation and is, consequently, the engine and belt tensioning seat damper of choice. Another plus: Arranging the diaphragm behind the bottom valve gives the HD24/29 MB its small outer diameter.

STAB-O-SHOC TA-Damper
The STAB-O-SHOC TA series from Stabilus was originally developed as steering dampers.

But due to their flexibility and ruggedness, these dampers have proven themselves as reliable partners outside of vehicle construction wherever vibrations had to be reduced and safely dampened.

Function

The diaphragm against the outside of the pressure tube can easily absorb the additional piston rod volume, resulting in slip-free force transmission in any mounting orientation. Due to the special piston system with valve plates, the damping forces can be set variably and virtually independently of each other.

The TA20 is the standard version of this damper, which has a proven track record in numerous applications. The TA30 and TA40 variants are special designs, which will be customized for higher loads according to your requests after consultation with our product developers.
